Last year (see picture above) Fit for Fall was a HUGE success and this year they want to make it even bigger! Fit for Fall are FREE different workouts put on by Fitset by different workout boutiques and fitness places throughout Edmonton. There are 9 different free workouts to pick from, all workouts are happening at Kingsway Mall, and….. when you make it out to 5 of the workouts Kingsway Mall will give you a $20 Kingsway Mall gift card!!! How amazing is that?? Plus I hear they are giving out swag at the events…

 

 

Check out Fit for Fall here and sign up on Eventbrite as space is limited. We had a blast last year! I even took my new born with me on the spin bikes (see picture below). It was free and fun! I blogged about my experience with Fitset in 2015 if you wish to read all about it – check it out here!

All Classes are 11am-12 noon.

Weekend 1 (Yoga)

October 1st – Lion’s Breath Yoga + Adventure – Come out and join the Lions Breath and Be HOT yoga family for an invigorating and inspiring yoga class. Within this practice there are modifications and variations available to all skill levels, beginner to advanced. Please bring your own yoga / exercise mat.

October 2nd – No Class Today – Check out CIBC Run for the Cure @ Kingsway Mall

Weekend 2 (Barre + Viking HIIT)

October 8th – Barre Body Studio Edmonton – If you’ve read a celebrity gossip magazine (don’t worry, we’ve all done it) you’ve heard about barre, but it’s not just for famous women we know by first name – barre is a low-impact, energizing, and effective workout for just about anyone. Barre is a fun way to design a tighter tush. Through isolated movements, it builds long, lean muscle while improving posture, grace, and flexibility. So yes, Barre Body Fit classes are effective – but because they are choreographed to great music and performed in a motivating group environment, the workout doesn’t feel like ‘work.’ Please bring your own yoga / exercise mat. This class will be on 2nd floor “Mall Barre” across from Lululemon and Tim Hortons.

October 9th – Anytime Fitness Kingsway – HIIT classes stand for High Intensity Interval Training. This is a highly effective workout that combines the importance of cardiovascular training while performing strength and resistance training (weight training) exercises…HIIT is HARD but extremely effective. We’ll be rocking out a HIIT class with resident Viking Ryganas. This is one class that you will not want to miss!

Weekend 3 (HIIT + Pilates)

October 15th – TNP Fitness Studio – HIIT classes stand for High Intensity Interval Training. This is a highly effective workout that combines the importance of cardiovascular training while performing strength and resistance training (weight training) exercises. By combining these two important aspects of training all in one workout – this puts your body in an extremely high fat burning state, and this is why HIIT is becoming one of the most popular styles of training around. It is always a guaranteed blast and a great way to meet new people and take your training to the next level!

October 16th – Incentre Pilates & Integration Pilates Studios – Pilates helps you live more fully—whether that means improving your golf game; having shoulders that don’t ache anymore; handling stress more effectively; or just feeling more connected to yourself. Pilates builds core connection and optimal alignment, giving you a full-body workout – improving strength, balance, flexibility, and body control. * Please bring your own yoga / exercise mat.

Weekend 4 (Kickboxing + Zumba)

October 22nd – IRON Goddess Fitness, Nutrition & Lifestyle Studios – The Iron Goddess Kickboxing Team brings you a high energy, no impact kickboxing workout! Beginners welcome! Women can expect to learn basic kickboxing techniques, get a great workout in, have a ton of fun and come see why women love kickboxing so much! Bring out your daughter (ages 10 and up) for a great Mom and Daughter workout and get some back to school shopping in afterwards.

October 23rd – Desert Rose Dance Studios Inc. – Ditch the Workout – Join the PARTY and burn 500-1000 calories. The ZUMBA® program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Have an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

Weekend 5 (Bootcamp Weekend)

October 29th – The Base by RVH & River Valley Health – (43’22 Bootcamp) – Join trainers of The Base for their landmark 43°22 workout. Open to all fitness levels, this workout will touch on endurance, strength, core, and conditioning exercises. No idea what 43’22 means…Just come out and try, you’ll be happy you did.

October 30th – Gray’s Nation – (Way of Gray Bootcamp) – This workout will focus on both strength and cardiovascular training entirely using your own body weight. With a warm up that feels like an entire workout, you’ll leave feeling empowered, strong and sweaty.”
