This was the first year that I had gone to Londonderry Mall to see Santa. Mind you, I went to get the freebies and not see Santa but non-the-less Santa. I was more excited to see Mrs Clause and that there was a Mrs. there as I’ve never seen a Mrs Clause.

Londonderry Mall took out the fountains by Davids Tea and in its place is a big empty area. This was the place that Santa Candy Land was placed. A really cute area actually! Lots of ginger bread men smiling and dancing. Even cut outs to place your head in and take funny pictures. Of course we took part in the face cuts outs!

The line up to see Santa started almost 2 hours ahead of time however the line up in the end did not seem to be too long. The first 100 kids to see Santa received a gift bag from Londonderry Mall. This perked my interest – of course I wanted to know what is in the gift bag – that seems like a pretty substantial freebie!

While in line I ended up chatting with the lady next to me, who happened to be the lady who delivers the Examiner to the Londonderry Mall area,  BIG SHOUT OUT! She said that for the last 12 years she had been taking her son to Londonderry Mall as she too loved the freebies they give out. She informed me that last year they gave out a 500 piece puzzle with other small things. I thought that that was a pretty good freebie for sitting on a strangers lap (aka Santa) and telling him what you wanted for Christmas.

Well, see for yourself! What do you think of the Londonderry Mall gift bag?
